Have you ever wanted to be a car designer? If so, and you never quite got your dream job, Audi is interested in hearing from you. The German automaker just launched an electric car competition that challenges people to try to create the car of tomorrow.
The challenge is open to anyone who wants to try their hand at design and knows a bit about electric cars. The event is officially called, “The Production of Electric Automobile”, because like most German things, they need to have an official title. The main site is in German, so if you don’t speak it, find somebody who can, or see if Google Translator can help.
There are a few simple rules to follow before you get cracking. Submissions must be turned in before June 31st and then Audi will select eight finalists to attend a workshop to perfect and resubmit their designs. The company will then select a winner in November.
We are convinced that we will receive many innovative and creative entries because the competition is a unique opportunity for young employees and potential employees. It is important that the concept can be easily implemented and demonstrates clear progress over the state of the art, said Bernd Griesbach, an Audi spokesperson for this event.
Why not give it go, it costs nothing, and nobody will ever know. If you’re good, you might find yourself working for Audi.
